Frequently Asked Questions
Who are classes for?
Wonder Play & Learn (WP&L) classes are created for children aged birth through 4 years-old and their caregivers. Mothers, fathers, grandparents, nannies, foster parents, etc. are all welcome to attend.
How are the classes grouped?
WP&L currently offers All Ages classes for babies, toddlers & preschoolers (birth through 4-years old).
What type of activities will be done in class?

Classes will incorporate a variety of developmentally appropriate and play-based activities. Children and their caregivers will be encouraged to be active learners and engage with the learning materials and other classmates. The activities are designed to stimulate & engage the senses while exploring in a natural surrounding with the overall goal being to encourage a love of learning. All three levels of classes will follow a similar pattern and structure to create a harmonious flow as children age and join the next class level. Activities will be thematic in their makeup and will include seasonal aspects.
Where is the location of the classes?
Classes are held outdoors at Crisp Park in St. Pete and at Hyde Park Presbyterian Church in South Tampa.
Additional park locations may be added for future dates. I am open to alternative locations as well, so please message me with any suggestions!
Who is the instructor?
The instructor is Jessica Alsayegh, an experienced early childhood educator. Jessica has 17+ years of combined experience working with children, with five of those years teaching at the kindergarten and first grade level, She has a son of her own who is now 12-years-old, so she has been through the stages of early childhood in full force! Jessica realizes the sheer importance of those early years in the development of children and she is excited to get to work with families in the Tampa Bay/ St Petersburg area!
What is the class size?
Each class will max out at 10 children with at least one caregiver accompanying each child.
Do caregivers need to remain at the class?
Yes. Caregivers need to remain for the duration of the class. One major focus of the classes is to create a space to help build the connection between child & caregiver.
What supplies are needed?
BYOB (blanket!) Or feel free to bring a chair if you'd like. Whatever you are most comfortable with is great!
The instructor will have a space setup with blankets but bringing your own is also preferred.
You may also want to bring a water, wipes and change of clothes- pretty much what you normally bring for any outing with your little one. Wink!
